WE THE PEOPLE
Kristi Risk
Dear District 8 Hoosiers,
Greetings!
I am sure you are aware that no individual can solve all of the problems of government. However, as your Congresswoman, I can fight to protect your independence and constitutional rights, promote capitalism, endorse legislation that promotes a fair balance between the good of society and the good of individuals, prevent monopolization in industry, and protect your guns! With integrity, through transparency, and as a servant to you, the American people, I can persevere in seeking stability for your pursuit of life, liberty, and happiness.
I do not ever want to lose connection with the constituents in District 8. I believe in grassroots campaigning because I believe, We The People, not big corporations, need to direct legislation protecting our unalienable rights. That is why, if possible, I want to avoid PAC money, so I may go to Washington with a clean slate, owing only the people of District 8 a fair and honest representation. It is my desire to remain as personable with the Hoosiers of the 8th,as if you were my next-door neighbor…for this office is not about me, but is about your voice being spoken through me. As your Congresswoman, you will see referendum’s in your county seat so that I can stay in touch with you and so that I can hear your voices.
As a staunch, red-blooded American wife of seventeen years, mother of four children and life long resident of Indiana, I have a vested interest in seeing the rights and privileges of my children and grandchildren preserved through the freedom provided under the Constitution of the United States. Having spent countless hours volunteering in our community through our church as a Youth Leader, Board Member and Adult Sunday School Teacher; 4-H Councilwoman; National Wild Turkey Federation (Treasurer); Hunters Helping Kids (Coordinator/Treasurer); Softball (Coach); and our local county Republican Women’s Club (Officer), I understand the importance of being able to choose where you want to invest your time, talents and financial resources. The freedoms I enjoy – you enjoy – have been bought and paid for at a high cost – the Blood of Patriotism.
I fear many of the officials in Washington have…
My passion and compassion is for you, the people of District 8, to see your value and embrace the importance of your voice in this country. As I am preparing for the final steps to receive my license in counseling, I have asked myself many times, “How can I pursue a career with a goal to help see people set free, yet sit idly by and allow the future of my children and grandchildren to become bound under tyranny and injustice, Socialism or Communism?” I cannot.
I believe with every fiber of my being that the voice of the people in District 8, can make a difference in the federal government and that we can pave an avenue of reform through our efforts.
We The People can make a difference!
We The People can let our voices be heard!
We The People can stand up to the government’s infringement and say, “ENOUGH!”
We The People can let our voices be heard!
We The People can stand up to the government’s infringement and say, “ENOUGH!”
It is my hope that you, the Hoosiers of District 8, will feel compelled to get on board with me and help lead this,
We The People, grassroots campaign to victory!
We The People, grassroots campaign to victory!
God Bless,
